چکیده
An on-chip 64-channel hybrid (de)multiplexer for wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) and mode-division (MDM) is designed demonstrated on a 220 nm SOI platform the demands of large capacity optical interconnections. The includes 4-channel mode 16-channel (de)multiplexers. comprised cascaded asymmetric directional couplers supporting coupling between fundamental TE higher-order modes with low crosstalks in wide wavelength range. (de)multiplexers consist two bi-directional micro-ring resonator arrays four WDM signals. Micro-heaters are placed micro-resonators thermal tuning. According to experimental results, excess loss <3.9 dB one free spectral range from 1522 1552 <5.6 three ranges 1493 1583 nm. intermode −23.2 −33.2 dB, isolations adjacent nonadjacent channels about −17.1 −22.3 respectively. tuning efficiency ∼2.22 mW/nm over
